We thank everyone that participated in the Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser and we have been in contact with Gertrude Hawks on how COVID-19 school related closures will affect our delivery. As we are all aware the Branchburg Schools will remain closed through April 13th. This also means that we do not have access to the buildings for use.
Public health officials continue to advise that social distancing is the most effective strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are also adhering to the recommendations and guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local authorities. We will be re-evaluating options, with community health guidelines, again during the weekend of March 28th. If at the time we can find a safe solution, we will let you know.
Any orders that were pre-selected for home delivery will be processed , and delivered, as normal. Unfortunately, Gertrude Hawks does not have the option available to ship to the homes of each student. They will have our order shrink wrapped on a pallet, in a climate controlled environment. They will be ready to ship to us as we are able to receive them.
We understand this can be frustrating, but we ask that everyone remembers two things. This type of unforeseen circumstance is uncontrollable and that the fundraiser still helped raise a considerable amount of money that benefit the children and schools of Branchburg, which always remains our goal. We know this may not be ideal for timing, but you will receive your chocolates and goodies as soon as we are able to do so safely for our volunteers and Branchburg families. We thank you for your continued support of the Branchburg PTO.
